The roles that David , Julie and Nigel fulfil have become an integral part of the University's response to allegations of sexual and more complex general student and staff misconduct.

 

Their background, professionalism, communication skills and experience has provided the University with an ability to manage allegations in a sensitive, fair and expeditious manner in line with our Student Sexual Misconduct Policy and our Dignity Policies. They understand the complex nature of sexual misconduct investigations, the effects of trauma and are able to recognise the wellbeing needs of all those involved which has assisted greatly in the operation of our discipline activities.

England Athletics, the national membership and development body for athletics and running clubs, commissioned two independent investigations by DJN Investigations Ltd, relating to disciplinary matters in 2022. 

 

England Athletics was satisfied with the high quality of these investigations, detailed investigation reports and professionalism of the investigators.  The team felt regularly updated throughout the investigations and found DJN had good understanding of our needs and terms of engagement.  The investigators were thorough, followed up on all enquiries diligently and presented information and evidence clearly.  They were also able to adapt and quickly understand the sporting environment, procedures and policies.   We would recommend working with DJN Investigations Ltd alongside any internal investigations team, when the need for independent or outsourced investigation arises.
